Urban Geometry No. 01 – Hamburg Facade presents a large-format facade study in which the city is reduced to graphic structures. No people, no distractions – only lines, rhythm, and the controlled contrast of light and shadow.
The design is intended for generous wall surfaces and unfolds its effect primarily in clearly designed living and working spaces, where it does not compete with decoration but structures the room.
Limited Edition
This design is limited to 25 copies worldwide – regardless of size or format. Each print is hand-numbered and can be signed upon request. Once the edition is sold out, the artwork will not be reprinted.
Formats
Urban Geometry No. 01 is available in the following formats:
– 75 × 100 cm for concentrated wall surfaces in living and working spaces
– 90 × 120 cm as a large-format statement for larger rooms, lofts and conference areas
– 105 × 140 cm as a large statement piece for private and professional spaces
– 120 × 160 cm as a large-scale work for large walls, lofts and representative areas
The fine art print on Hahnemühle paper is available in 75 × 100 cm. For larger formats, the image is available as a gallery print under acrylic glass.
For special spaces – such as very large offices, lobbies, or high walls – custom sizes are also possible upon request, within the material's technical limitations. Just send me a quick message with a photo of your wall and your approximate desired dimensions.
Materials & Finishes
This work is available in two versions:
Fine art print on Hahnemühle paper (up to 75 × 100 cm)
– Matte, slightly textured surface
– Particularly suitable for rooms with soft light, natural materials and understated furnishings
– Recommended for collectors who prefer a classic, understated fine art look
Gallery print under acrylic glass (90 × 120 cm, 105 × 140 cm and 120 x 160 cm)
– High depth of field and precise black tones
– Appears in the room like an independent object
– Ideal for very clean, modern interiors, offices, agencies and representative areas
– Particularly striking in the 120 × 160 cm format as a central statement piece on a blank wall
For most living and working spaces, the Fine Art Print on Hahnemühle paper in the 75 × 100 cm format is recommended. In very modern, minimalist rooms, as well as for large statement walls, the Gallery Print under acrylic glass – especially in 120 × 160 cm – is the more suitable choice.
About this work
The photograph was taken in Hamburg. Instead of showing the cityscape in its entirety, this motif focuses on a single facade – a surface made up of vertical and horizontal elements, reduction instead of skyline.
The eye is not guided, but held: by clear grids, recurring structures, and a rigorously composed relationship between light and dark areas. This creates an image that does not get lost in superficial "city atmosphere," but stands in space like a calm, graphic form.
Visual language & composition
Urban Geometry No. 01 employs a deliberately controlled perspective. The facade is presented head-on, distortions are minimized, and the lines are clear. The contrast is chosen to allow intermediate values to remain visible – enough depth for extended viewing without becoming harsh.
This motif is particularly suitable for spaces where structure is desired: studies, conference rooms, agency offices, or minimalist living areas. From a distance, the image appears as an abstract graphic; up close, individual details, window structures, and surfaces subtly emerge.
production
Each print is produced in a specialized laboratory, carefully inspected, and securely packaged. The combination of high-quality substrate, precise tonal values, and controlled production is designed to preserve the artwork in your home for many years to come.
Use in the area
Urban Geometry No. 01 is designed for walls that are not meant to be "decorated" but rather defined. In combination with clean-lined furniture, muted colors, and minimalist furnishings, the motif acts as a graphic anchor point.
In offices and conference rooms, it fosters a focused atmosphere without competing with presentation surfaces or screens. In living spaces, it is particularly suitable for long walls, open hallways, or loft areas where a calm yet striking statement is desired.
Upon request, I can create a simple visualization based on a photo of your room, so that you can see the work in the context of your architecture beforehand.
framing
The fine art prints on Hahnemühle paper come with a deliberately placed white border. This border gives the image more space, reflects the presentation style in traditional galleries, and provides room for the signature and edition number. This allows you to perfectly match the frame to your space – in terms of color, profile, and glass.
For most interiors, narrow frame profiles in black, dark gray, or dark wood are recommended. In very minimalist, modern rooms, black metal frames appear particularly clean, while in warm interiors, wooden frames with a rich, dark tone (e.g., walnut) are a good fit.
Gallery prints mounted under acrylic glass do not require an additional frame, as the hanging hardware on the back already makes them appear as a standalone object in the room. If desired, they can be combined with a very narrow, surrounding shadow gap frame.
If you're unsure about the framing, you can send a photo of your wall after placing your order. Based on your room, I'll give you a recommendation for frame color, profile, and hanging height, or create a simple mockup.
