Editions & Quality
Limited Editions
All works on this website are published in limited editions of 25 copies per motif – regardless of size and format. This means:
– A motif is produced a maximum of 25 times, whether as a fine art print on Hahnemühle paper or as a gallery print under acrylic glass.
– The edition will not be "expanded" subsequently. If the edition sells out, the design will not be reissued.
Each print is hand-numbered (e.g., 7/25) and can be signed upon request. The limited edition is a deliberate choice: the works are not intended to function as mass-produced items, but rather as long-term, reliable fixtures within a space.
materials
I work with two main versions, each with its own distinct character:
Fine art print on Hahnemühle paper
– Matte, slightly textured surface
– Very fine tonal gradations, especially in black and white
– Ideally suited for calm, understated interiors with natural materials such as wood, stone and textiles
Gallery Print under acrylic glass
– Photograph mounted behind acrylic glass, stabilized on the back
– High depth of field and precise black tones
– Appears in the room as an independent object, especially in larger formats
– Ideal for clean, modern spaces, hotels, offices, agencies and representative areas
Depending on the subject, format and use in the room, I recommend a suitable finish – Fine Art Print for a matte, classic presentation, Gallery Print for maximum presence and depth effect.
production
The prints are produced in a specialized laboratory. For each design, the print data is prepared to ensure optimal performance for the specific format and material.
– Color and tone values are tested in advance and adjusted to the respective paper or acrylic material.
– Every print is checked before it is packaged and shipped.
– Production usually only begins after the order has been received – these are not stock items, but individually manufactured works.
Formats
Many designs are intended for large formats from the outset. Smaller formats serve as an introduction, larger formats as a deliberate statement in the space.
The product descriptions include recommendations on which size is suitable for which type of room – from living rooms or offices to large wall surfaces in hotels, chalets, offices or entrance areas.
Signature & Authenticity
Each print is numbered. Upon request, the print can also be signed on the front or back. A simple certificate of authenticity, including the title of the artwork, the edition number, the year, and the signature, can be issued for each piece.
Hanging & Framing
Fine art prints on Hahnemühle paper are delivered with a deliberately placed white border. This border:
– gives space to the motif
– corresponds to the presentation in classic galleries
– provides space for signature and edition number
This allows the frame to be precisely tailored to the room – in size, profile and color.
Gallery prints mounted under acrylic glass are usually supplied with a hanging system on the back and do not require an additional frame. They appear as if floating objects in the room. If desired, they can be set in a very narrow, surrounding shadow gap frame.
Dealing with the work in the room
– The prints should not be exposed to direct, harsh sunlight for extended periods.
– For rooms with very high humidity (e.g. bathrooms), a gallery print is generally more suitable than a framed paper print.
– When cleaning acrylic surfaces, only a suitable, soft cloth should be used.
Why not mass production?
The combination of limited edition, careful selection of motifs, high-quality production, and clear formats is a deliberate choice. The aim is not to sell as many pictures as possible, but to create works that can grace spaces for years to come – as a quiet, yet precisely placed constant.
