Mountain Geometry No. 01 – Alpine Frame depicts an alpine landscape framed by two dark structures and reflected in the water. Instead of an open panorama, a precise section is created: architecture on the left and right, nature in the center, reflection in the foreground.

The design is in black and white and reduces the scene to tonal values, lines, and surfaces. It is intended for interiors where nature is to be present without appearing romantic or decorative.

Limited Edition

This design is limited to 25 copies worldwide – regardless of size or format. Each print is hand-numbered and can be signed upon request. Once the edition is sold out, the artwork will not be reprinted.

Statement format 120 × 160 cm

The 120 × 160 cm format is deliberately designed as a space-encompassing statement. The two dark structures form a vertical bracket that directs the gaze towards the landscape. The reflection in the water reinforces this axis and transforms the mountains into a silent, graphic figure within the space.

This format is particularly effective in spacious rooms with sufficient viewing distance – such as hotel lobbies, entrance areas, conference rooms, chalets, or open-plan living and loft spaces. Mountain Geometry No. 01 can, as a single image, define the visual direction of the room.

About this work

The photograph blends modern architecture with an alpine landscape. The dark facades on the left and right frame the middle ground, while wooded slopes and partially cloud-shrouded peaks are visible in the background. The reflection in the foreground echoes the shapes of the mountains, making the composition almost mirrored.

The focus is not on depicting a specific region, but on the tension between built space and nature. The architecture precisely frames the scene, the mountains fill it with serene mass.

Visual language & composition

Mountain Geometry No. 01 works with a clear central axis: the mountains above, their reflection below, and in between, the horizontal line of meadow and forest edge. The vertical facades to the left and right give the image a strong graphic structure. The black and white emphasizes the different surfaces – rough wood, soft clouds, dense forest, and smooth water.

This motif is particularly suitable for rooms where nature is to be present, but not as a romantic backdrop, rather as a calm counterpoint to architecture, furniture and light.

framing

The fine art prints on Hahnemühle paper come with a deliberately placed white border. This border gives the image more space, reflects the presentation style in traditional galleries, and provides room for the signature and edition number. This allows you to perfectly match the frame to your space – in terms of color, profile, and glass.

For most interiors, narrow frame profiles in black, dark gray, or dark wood are recommended. In modern, minimalist rooms, black metal frames create a particularly clean look, while in alpine interiors with a lot of wood, slim wooden frames in a rich, dark tone are a good fit.

Gallery prints mounted under acrylic glass do not require an additional frame, as the hanging hardware on the back already makes them appear as a standalone object in the room. If desired, they can be combined with a very narrow, surrounding shadow gap frame.
